Job Summary: As a Web Designer at West Coast Self-Storage, you will play a key role in designing and maintaining our company websites to effectively showcase our services, facilities, and brand identity. Working closely with our marketing team, you will leverage your expertise in WordPress development and design principles to create visually appealing, responsive, and intuitive websites that captivate our target audience and drive conversions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives, user requirements, and brand guidelines.
• Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring a seamless user experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Customize and optimize WordPress themes, plugins, and templates to meet project requirements and enhance website functionality.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design concepts and obtain stakeholder feedback.
• Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and rankings on search engine results pages.
• Perform regular website updates, content management, and troubleshooting to ensure site reliability and performance.
• Monitor website analytics and user behavior to identify opportunities for optimization and conversion rate improvement.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web design and development.
• Communicate with external developers on website API project development

Required Qualifications:

• Web Design experience in Wordpress, Divi theme experience preferred with examples of previous work.
• Proven experience with WordPress development, including theme customization, plugin integration, and backend administration.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
• Strong graphic design skills with a keen eye for typography, color theory, and layout composition.
• Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and techniques for website optimization.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within established timelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a marketing firm or a related field.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, etc.).
• Understanding of UX/UI design principles and user-centered design methodologies.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices.
